eps issue

Hi. I have a brand new copy of koolmoves - very impressed. However ... attempts to import eps are driving me up the wall. Illustrator EPS9 files fail with "Module thmbnail.tif: invalid TIFF directory; tags are not sorted in ascending order", then koolmoves crashes.

To be fair Flash itself can't recognise Illus EPS9. EPS7 files (which Flash handles OK) generate the same message, but do not crash koolmoves. However the shape arrives as a 4 point square.

Is it me? What is the best setting on vectors to import?

I have had little success with the eps file import because it is almost always bitmap based even when originating from Illustrator. I use third party software to do the import and the problem probably lies there. I would appreciate the eps file causing the problem and I will send it to vendor supplying the third party software. Please send to [email protected]. Wmf is the most reliable and dxf is the second most reliable.

Apparently the file had an alpha channel in the preview tiff of the eps which caused trouble for the import software. The next version of koolmoves will include new import dlls which will fix the png 24 bit problem and this problem. In August I will try to use the transparency information in a png in the exported swf.
