damn, im smooth
i've talked about this a little in the sound forum, but wanted to hit here, to discuss these further issues.
i have a flash movie, about 2 minutes long (14 MB) filled with 25-30 hi-res jpgs (set to png mode) that play, one at a time, like a slide show. some fade in and out, some slide in and out, and some just appear.
"behind" the pictures is a hi-quality mp3 clip, set to stream at 160 kbps (set to 160 in the publish settings AND the library settings).
the pictures are synced to certain sections in the music (thats why i need it to stream)
now, im going to burn all this mess to a cd.
my biggest concern is that the movie'll look n'play crappy off of a cd, for those with not-the-greatest computers.
will this be a big issue? or, if the movie has a loader program (like it would online), will that make it play properly?
what other kinda problems do you think i might run into, if someone with the "average" pc tries to run it off their "average" cd-rom drive?
thanks

damn, im smooth
i've tried a few times, and... my biggest problem is that the music doesnt properly sync with the movie when it plays off the cd (the music is somehow too fast).
is bad!
suggestions?

damn, im smooth
did i make the images too large, perhaps? should i allow them to "smooth"? set them to be jpg 75% compression? would that be the cause of these problems? (right now, i set them to png lossless mode, no smoothin, but... when i test the movie, and i view the stats, some of the pics are comin out to be, like, 256kb each, when, in reality, they're only, like, 40kb jpgs, at most.)
would THAT cause the problems?
i just want it to look nice for everyone
(btw, this is the URL to the low-res version of the movie http://www.americatriumphant.com)
thanks for the help!

FK Official Mechanic Trust your mechanic
You'll always have problems with older computers.
It's not that the music is too fast, it's more than likely the old computer choking trying to keep up with animation.
I'd set your images back to .jpg. It takes a lot out of an old computer to fade and slide 256kb images. I think if they are 40kb, you should notice the difference.
