Is this a good layout.

Hey is this a good layout for my new site.
The site is being made for my Biology class. The box on the bottom will be dragable once i figure out how to do that in Flash5

Okay man, got around to looking at it.

First thing that gets me is that the lines are kind of hard on my eyes, it has something to do with them being kind of thick and not evenly spaced. Don't really know how to say it. How did you make them? Whenever I am doing the scanline look, I do them in Photoshop.
I like grey colors though, and I think the trees behind the lines look pretty cool. it has a nice effect to it.

Same here I actually like the layout it is those black lines on that grey in the background, really hurts, other then that its tight.

Intresting layout!!!. But those black lines are a bit irritating though. Maybe the other way round i.e grey lines on black background would be better.

Ok thanx for the opinions i like the grey background but how bout this i put the lines in photoshop and cloud them up so i dont think it will be as irritateing What you think.

What would make it really tight, is make a MOVIE with moving lines with 3 or four doing crazy stuff. You see this in a lot of websites were they use three lines each different sizes and make them move around in the background.

Just something I thought would look kewl.

The only thing is that gets annoying after a while also this is just a layout its not the final annimation there will be movement

maybe just even out the lines and dim the opacity.

the lines made the circles which i presume would be for links look a little weird too.

actually the lines made most of the other lines look sorta pixelated.
