    ok it finally loaded!

But man, that site is WAY confusing hey!
like, i had no idea what to click at first, i dont know why it took so long to load, there really isnt too much for it to take so long!
    maybe i missed something.

so it took me a pretty long time to load on 56k.
make the navigation easyer to understand!
i still dont really get it at all.

    Peace

Well your site shows talent, but like Rob said, navigation is a bit difficult to understand. Empty links naturally make it a bit harder but consider these few points.
You have navigation at Screen center right, Top left etc and information on each also in different locations. Do I press stairs or a big word etc etc.
    Make menu choice SIMPLE AS.

I like the center line menu selection set up.

All your different names are a bit confusing first time through.

It did take a while to load even on cable and stopped
1/3rd of the way through. Your music loop may need looking at, as its the only big content you have.

On your splash screen I think you should change Listen to Enter. I could hear nothing so I stopped listening and Entered

Site looks pretty cool, have to agree with rob and jofta, kinda confusing. You have an option to turn the sound off, but not to turn it back on? Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see it. Goes with the "confusing". Still a great looking site, great effects!

This is a test Flash presentation that will accompany a music magazine. I wanted to approach it as a role playing, sort of speak vibe to it...The text was just placed into each for examples only....incuding the preloader... The wav file is what's taken so much of the space...didn't convert to mp3 i guess...Need to incorporate a more descriptive navigation, looking for some thoughts...all constructive critisizm taken into account.....thanks.

    Hi Brawns, couple of points.
SOUND Swish converts WAV files to MP3 any how (unless you switched that off), so thats not your issue. I think you have to look at the report generated by SWISH ( File >Test > Report) It will show you how big the sound file is. Then look at the length of that loop. ie make sure that it does not have a repeat in it. Have a look at sound loops (up the top of the page) and compare some sizes. You should just have a SINGLE loop.

Go with your concept for your site and stick with the 1st floor , etc thing but just have it happening in the one clear place.. Maybe during your preloading you could include an "about this site" short text explanation.

The wav itself is only 7 seconds long. Does using the loop function add or decrease the size of the sound? Does it depend on the length as well? because I try to limit my loops down to the mere seconds...

Nope you can loop a sound file as many times as you like. Some do 999 loops and it does not add a Kb.
Check that maybe your sound file is MONO and no more than 22khz.
Like I say, check your content report.
Also right click your Sound command on the scene line and go to properties>options and see what thats saying.

I love the look (black/white). Great work! However, the file size is to BIG and the upper text is unreadable. I suggest you get yourself some pixel fonts. (Your text will be crisp.) Do a flashkit search and you will find many posts regarding this issue or you can go directly to http://www.miniml.com.
