I'm using a php portal system, and i have a flash theme. I have integrated it so it plays music through the header (where the on off button is loccated and it always starts in off incase the end user is jamming out to winamp or something). is there any possible way without using frames to make the music run non stop? so when i click on a link it doesent shut off or restart. i know it sounds rediculous but hey look where we are now its not that infeasible. If not at least tell me no, so i can stop brainstorming.

Hey Dinofish
If the page which has the embed and or object tag changes then the file will have to stop start. The only solution I can see is to put in somewhere that doesn't change. ie a frame (yuk), another window (hmm not very good either), don't reload the whole PHP page (can you do this in PHP?), or I think some browsers will now support frames within a page with no borders, scrolls etc (don't know if this solution will work and maybe it will just get you into more strife.
So the bottom line is ... if you reload the holding page then the swf will have to start again.

or if u could make it all flash.. and loading all external variables... but it would be a real headache.. cheers!
