    Hello,

I'm hoping someone can give me a few pointers...
I want to create a projector that accesses a text file without using the internet (ie. URL in the Load variables command).

The "Load Variables" works fine when it pulls the text file of the internet, but i cant seem to get it to find the text file on the local machine (I've tried C:\file.txt).

The projector will be going on a non-networked pc with (hopefully!) a text file that contains variables the users will be able to change to alter the movie.

Any suggestions would be greatly greatly greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

    Andrew

As long as you place the projector and the file in the same directory you will only have to call the file by its name ie:

    chicken.txt

You may want to check out the new SwiffCanvas program at http://www.swifftools.com you can save variables to a txt file directly from the program. There is also a few fla's in the movie section that will show you how to do this. As long as they are one word no spaces type variables this will work and be right in the program. Regards, Bill
