    Hi everybody,
I know this has nothing to do with flash - but FK is the one place I always get help from all you lovely people - so I thought I'd ask anyway.....

In the middle of working on a site, coming close to the dealine, as well ... my Mac crashed... won't reckonise the startup disk. I'm running OSX (currently started up from the partition with OS9) -tried everything I could think of, now decided to reinstall everything....

I have backed up all my stuff - but the one thing I don't know how to back up is my e-mails....
I've asked a few of my friends but they've got PCs and Outlook is different,
Does anyone know how to save or export e-mail from the Inbox in OutlokExpress on the Mac ?
There must be a way!!!!!????!!!! Like exporting Contacts....

    Any help would be GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for listening!

    Quite easy...

    Hi eyedea,

To keep all your contacts, mails and all the other stuff about outlook express, you just have to back-up a folder called "user(s)" or something like that (I'm using a french version of Outlook... so... ). This Folder is supposed to be on the same level as the application is. So, just back-up it, and then replace it when you'll finish to reinstall outlook...

    Hope it's understandable...

    Tchao,
    ZeB

I think what you need is in your documents folder, it's called Microsoft User Data ("/Users/eyedea/Documents/Microsoft\ User\ Data/").

In there is a folder called Identities, this has all your mail data stuff in it, but you might as well back up the whole folder just in case.

    Thanks SJT,
i just reinstalled everything, after having backed up the important e-mails one by one... - on open outlook express - I got the window to specify the users folder up... DOH.... never even remembered about that...

    Thanks anyway

    and happy flashin'
