I am trying to export a Kool Moves project as captured frames to turn it,

Actually other Fun Files can be directly imported into another project through the Insert Movie option. This option is under File> Insert Movie.
I have found the sound and actions interface in KoolMoves to be the most accurate with synching sound files.
As far as making AVI's from SWFs. I have found the best way is by using software that turns the SWF playback into still images and then creates a an AVI out of it is most effeciant. The source code, in Python, to build such a device was posted on the Open SWF board about a year ago. 2 Companies have made tools from that code;
1. Flash Ants. SWF2Video $19.00 http://www.flashants.com
2. Pizzini Net. SWF2AVI Free http://www.pizzinini.net/swf2avi/
Both tools will record actionscripts and imported movies.
You need to be aware that SWF doesn't synch sound well. SWF playback speed is more or less determianed by the machine it is playing on. There is a way to get A SWF file that is synched with a MP3 with Flash and it is in the spec but when you use it the result is that the Flash Player will actually through away frames so that the files synch, which isn't a good solution.
