This question I am posting for a friend o' mine who works in a company where he has to design Flash animations for Television Ads type of projects .
    Querries :
    ------------
    1) Does the MovieClip (symbol) loose it's property when the main SWF is exported to AVI ?
    2) Do Action Scripts work in these conditions ... meaning when the full movie is exported as AVI's .

Yes and no, respectively. When you export as video (except for Quicktime, which has a built-in Flash channel) all you will get is animation. Video players do not understand ActionScript, so it would be pretty pointless including them.

If he wants video, and he works for a TV company, I should think he could come up with more sophisticated video software than having to resort to using Flash!! Unless it's some TV company working out of someone's back room ...

Any sort of video will need to be put through a player, and Flash and Quicktime players are about the only ones that will support any actionscript.

How does your friend intend to get this Flash/video fusion on to our TVs?

I think it would be better to get him directly on this board to interact ... rather than me giving queeries from him eh ?
Still , what are the better softwares for theTV scene ... then ?
Supposing it is not a TV company outof someones'back room ?!!
