now i am working on the hittest problem i think i am gonna use Mad-sci system
the system that you use its to hard in fact you do too many hittests
i will try to simplify as much as possible
as soon as i finish it ill make a small tutorial and maybe ill post the fla
i wanna do a basic rpg engine alla zelda that is easy to use this way everybody especially biginners can start making rpgs

i ll try to make a good hittest system first.
you use too many hittests(thats bad)
and also when you get close to a house the roof opens up
whats that? i hate that... what if rains
i gonna make it that when the hero get to the door he moves inside the house which is on another frame entirely
and when he exit he goes back exactly where he was when he entered
so for each house you ll have a frame for the room

you start from a static room then you go outside in the city the city background will be scrollable while the rooms and dungeons will be static no scrolling
this will be the basic engine
on top of that i could add talking people, enemies ,bonuses , inventory, etc etc
but for now ill concentrate on the basic engine

Maybe Mag will be so kind to upload his .fla, or if you explain your question further, someone else will make you another one...
thare is a easyer way to make a hero walk auround a room or a area this fla will show you a easyer way to do this i have used this tequnique in many of the games i have made

No, i don't think it's a good idea to rule this as a coulpe of named frames and gotoandplays... A little bit generic, is it? But... Maybe a nice solution - if it is no time to dig deeper.
