Here's something I've been working with, combining 2D and 3D cartoons.

    Well...

It really just involved a lot of "pre-production" and planning. The trickiest part was at the end, when the space ship takes off. For that, It's actually all 2D. I hid half the elements of the Swift 3D scene and exported them, and then hid the other half and made the previously hidden half visable and exported that, and put them on seperate layers to animate... Um, does that help at all?

Well, that's not a very original idea, seeing as it sounds exactly like that other stick fight animation...

Just do the Swift 3D tutorials, they're really good and will teach you how to do that in a jiffy.

the tutorials that came with the program, as well as when you update via the customer only site, there are about 12mb of tutorials there. those are the tutorials he's talking about.

if you search around in some of the older threads, you will see some posts about movement. In fact, I think I answered a similar question about moving a room in the manner as you had stated. also, theMatrix answered a similar question about creating the Matrix-like action/rotation.

there's been a lot of people asking about that lately... anyway, keep playing with the program, do the tutorials that came with the program. we can help you, but teaching you... that's a different thing. learn the tools first... you might just discover a way to do it yourself.

    good luck.

no, I haven't done anything like that. However, I've played with Swift3D, read the manual, and did the tutorials to know that it's possible.

Go to help, then the Customer Only site is under there. It will pop up a browser window for you.

I truly suggest reading the manuals and doing the tutorials. That way, you just might end up answering your own questions, and if you need help, we will be right here. It's best to learn the tools first...

dmb_87, if you are having issues like that, contact [email protected].

otherwise, if you did not pay for it, tough. You will not have access to that location until you pay for it. and nobody on this board, some of which are eRain employees, will post those tutorials for you.

and if you have paid for it, contact the above e-mail address. they are unbelievably quick in answering/helping people out...

    good luck.
