Easiest way to use Video in Flash??

Hi,
I want to use some video in my flash movie, kind of like the clouds sequence on '2advanced'. I tried using FLIX to do it but that resulted in a huge file size. Is there an easy, quick way of creating a series of bitmaps from a piece of video which when played back in flash would emulate that moving image, yet be far smaller in size as its only using still images.
