Thread: Help with making a link download file

    I have asked this question before but with no luck. I want to have a button link to a file that is downloadable. It will be a word and excel documents. I tried just putting the link in the button on the actions panel. But didn't work. Any ideas. Thanks

    well you know in the actions panel where you have the geturl function? under the address is a target drop down... try setting it to "blank"...

    sorry hit back button and it sent another reply.. Yes I know about the get url and blank.. Does this open the file in a seperate window?

    yes... but since it's not a browser file it will open/download w/o losing your window
    like the music files here:
