    OK, check this...

    Whenever I try to

    A) Paste a symbol from one Flash movie to another or

    B) Drag a symbol from one movie to another, Flash just straight up shuts down with now error message or anything. Screen just poof, gone. What the hell?!?

I'm worried maybe this is built into the educational version I have, to keep you from importing files from other FLA's for some reason? Would that even make any sense? Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks,

Alright, well, at least I'm not alone. Anyone know a way to get in touch with Macromedia about this without paying for support (for THEIR messed up product)?

I had a similar problem in Flash 5. It turned out to be my graphic card drivers - an old Detonator set. Fortunately, all is well now...

no problem with my edu version

I copy symbols between movies ad nauseum and my educational version (win) has never crashed.

Thanks Josh, at least I know it's not some messed up EDU Version restriction. I'll give reinstalling a try, and let you all know how it turns out (the suspense must be killing you ).

Un-Installed and Re-Installed, same freakin' problem! Oh, what a world!
