Think we'll have to agree to disagree, although it does have it's advantages. The club where I play is pretty exclusive (i only play there as my best mate is pro) and the majority of people who work there are high up in companies, so you make a lot of good business contacts.

Sucks to spending $500 on golf clubs. I bought my clubs used at a 'Play It Again' store for $10 a club and I win money off my friends and their fancy clubs everytime. I rule!

20 yr old republican here that loves golf, basketball, and occasionally skateboarding

anyway... gerbs, those taylor made drivers are very nice... one of my friends has the 320 and loves it...

i play the Callaway ERC II (yes, the illegal one)... it's a great driver although i don't think it gives me much advantage... i only hit it about 5-10 yds farther than previous drivers i've had (but some of that is related to a swing change that i made last year)

glad to be back guys (and gals - lannie)

Did a bunch of looking and some demo-ing today ... Here's what I've narrowed it down to ...

Taylor Made 360 Series (getting a demo)

    Callaway x·14 (demo'd)

    Callaway "New" Big Bertha (demo'd)

And Ping I·3 () These, obviously were maybe my favorites Extremely light weight ~ felt great! (getting a demo - all I did was swing around what they had there in the shop ... duck! )

Thoughts on, please ... pluses, minuses, etc ...

I probably have a handicap of 200, Ruggers ... I'm only up to my second lesson So, having a handicap of 200, I say I don't really need the best clubs in the world ~ I just need a decent set that will last me from beginner's through intermediate.

Pings are nice, and if you find yourself a knowledgeable golf pro at a course, he will custom fit you and send the specs to Ping and they will make the clubs at no extra charge i believe...
Right you were, Jay (I'll never say that again, so copy | paste | Print and laminate it )

I started taking lessons from our club Pro and he fit me for a set of Lady's Taylor Made 360's today. I demo'd the ones I had listed and could not get away from those Taylor Mades. They should be in in about 10 days. I think I'm gonna be real happy with 'em Plus Taylor Made (among others) will make any adjustments necessary in them as my game gets better ... and it *will* get better!
