Hey aol don't post any banners anymore? I'm just askin because I used AOL before and those banners sucked the big one!!

I liked your site, the only thing is the contact button. I clicked it and clicked it and clicked it and all i got was the images to the left move around. Is that supposed to happen? Other than that really nice site.

Very nice site. Simple elligent. Now by simple I don't mean that your work is weak, I mean that the interface isn't complicated and the work is easy on the eyes and mind. Feels like a good Jazz site.

The images... hmmm.. it's interesting how they change everytime you click on a button. I mean, I can sit and click on Contact or Motion or whatever and they just keep on a changin. If it's what you meant to happen then cool. The reason I say something is that iacdsn noticed it and so did I. As a user I expect to see one image for one link and a different one for another, so when all of the images are free floating for any link, it kinda catches me by surprise. In this instance I was pleasently surprised.

I was thinking.. you might try making the scroll bar across the bottom a little more "sticky." By that I mean add a script that will pull the scroll box over the top of the link when you go over the link. And then when you leave it returns to your mouse. If you like the idea, here is a site that I am currently working on http://www.freewebz.com/foodbank/ . At the bottom on the right I added a color changing option. If you watch carefully, when your mouse is in the vacinity of the boxes, an arrow comes in. As long as you don't actually touch the boxes, the arrow follows you smoothly back and forth. However, as soon as you go over a box, the arrow centers itself on that box. Then if you move around inside that box... it doesn't move, it stays centered... then when you leave the box, the arrow smoothly returns to your mouse.

great interactivity. the motion section is superb. nav seems to be a bit plain, despite the moving indicator, but that's acceptable. also, it seems kind of empty overall. maybe you should put it in its own window or something to get rid of all of the gray. very nice site otherwise

That mouseOver noise is very annoying. All seemed good, except the contact button doesn't do anything.

thank you all for taking the time to check out the site!

need to sort out the random quote on the preloader!

hugepanzy, I like the idea for the nav! will work on that!

Hannibal, used the bg button from another site - will look again at that, sound was there accidently in this case! Thought id leave it and see what you all thought ...

mcpeek, got a bit to go on the site, will probably come together as I fine tune here and there - will definetly be in its own window - popup from a splash!

Stellios - Images come accross fine from here - had to stretch a few here and there, so will look again at that - trying to keep the overall size as low as poss, but want high quality-will be looking at this over the next few weeks!

iacdsn - working on a contact section - will have it there soon!

the floating image changes were just an idea that i liked! - glad it worked and didnt get any bad reviews (yet!)

anyway, thax again for taking the time!!!

    Cheers for that

First off. I wanna the swf/code for the motion section please. Pretty please

As for the rest. The opening picture is great. The colors are great.

How come, as you are so visualy orientated, that you have such a crappy font and plain navigation system?

I think we have like styles and tastes. Thanks for your comment on my posting

    cheers!!!

any ideas for a font? tried several, and always looking to improve! Thinking about the nav - built the base, like it simple, prefer to build it up a little piece by piece, take it in stages - so its easier to take steps back as well as forward - know what i mean?

anyway, cheers again for all time and suggestions ! - keep them coming ...

    Cheers

Great initial image. I love that motion deal. REALLY gets the point across. I too would love the source for that!

    Nice simple navigation.

Only one thing did I not care for.

The images for the most part look a little pixelated. Edges are not smooth, and lines look pixelated as well. The fonts could be cleaner to.

Also, the navigation system has a terrible bug. It's hard to explain, but sometimes it gets all scrambled on where its going, and the content doesn't serve up the right way, often just changing the bg image for the current section. Not a navigation problem, just a bug.

    Nice site!

    cheer Clif ...
the 'bug' is custom designed - was thinking about adding a kindof randomness to it all - each visit will give a different look to each section, depending on what order you go about it all ... just wanted to try out some new ideas - any thoughts on fonts?

cheers again and keep the comments a comin'

Really like the site. A http://www.miniml.com font would round it off for me.

Nice and simple site ... get the points acrossed

Except those already mentioned things, there is one more thing I would like to add.
The fonts looks ok for me, except those on sound section are different with the others, or maybe Flash blurred them as you did not set the x and y position value for the texts as round integers.
This problem also happened to the "New Media Technology" at the top.

Any thoughts for adding backround music loops ?

nice one JNR - got a couple of fonts!

IWA - thnx for drawing my attention to the sound section text - you were spot on - was blurry, now fixed ...

Just added 4 music loops to the sound section - trying to give an idea of the different moods which loops can add to a site - is the contrast too much?

Would appreciate some comments on loading times for the loops - and anything else

    Cheers again

glasjazz, your quotes in your loading screen blaze by...no time to read. i have isdn. might try lengthening the view time for each quote or somehow create a connection detection script to control speed of quotes. i don't know if this is possible.

could u take a look at the site again, in particular the SOUND section - are the loops loading fast enough?

also, the random quotes on the preloader should be working fine, really there for slower connections - PRESS THE RANDOME QUOTE BUTTON and all should be revieled ...

thanx again for any time and comments you can give

    Cheers

The swf stopped loading at 158.48K. did i mention the .48 bit. I know my dial up is slow, but it aint so slow that i need to know the .48 bit .

Quite a few fonts going on in the preloader page. some fonts are nice and crisp and other antialiased for me

    enjoy

Nice, simple clean site. I like the type and photographs. I couldn't get the contact section to work though, every time I pressed it, it just changed the photos. I didn't like the scrolling text on the motion section. Other than that though cool!
