Does anyone know a way to generate dynamic GIF files without the use of Macromedia Generator? I just can't see my way clear to lay down that kind of coin.
If you can help me... well I'll really, really be thankful.

Check out media3, they have a Generator hosting package. They have generator on their server that you can use if you have the Generator Templates, then it's like having Generator for only $35/mo! http://www.media3.net

Thank you Dissymmetry for your reply. This could be really useful for my personal homepage so I thank you. The project I'm currently working on is hosted on a LAN and I need some way to serve up dynamically created graphics to a group that does not have Flash installed. (I'd install Flash but the company I work for has not approved it for corporate wide use.) They also don't wan't to spend the kind of money on Generator (it is outside the scope of the budget, and there are some who just want a crappy link page rather than a useful interface) I'm looking for a possible cost-effective alternative.
