    yeah it sux!

Man I wouldnt have clue!! Ive been trying to figure it out for days!!! the sorrensen squeeze seems to work better, but if u import a sorenson squeeze flv file into flash then export it... the sync goes out again!!

Im really not sure what the deal is.... im trying to import a 5 min video which has lip sync, but its always going out... and gets worse as time passes...

Try Wildform Flix to fix your sync issues

Check out our software, Wildform Flix Pro at http://www.wildform.com

It supports MX video, FLV files, vector video, and video compatible with the older Flash 3-5 players.

There's a free demo available for Windows and Macintosh at http://www.wildform.com/demos

    Check it out!

    Cheers,

    thanks very much!!!

i appreciate the link for the demo, i'm going to try it out, but i got it synched up later on by changing the frame rate from 15fps to 12fps. if you're still having trouble with yours try this out and see if it works for your video, too. thanks again!

    Re: thanks very much!!!

Yeah, ive tried 12 fps, but I really wanted a smoother framerate... video is 25fps. And I wanted to keep that same frame rate.... to be able to compete with Director... Ahhh!!!! I was hoping not to have to use director to incorporate video...

    solution

there may be another post about this or its old news, but I've found a (rather obvious) solution to the sync problem with imports: Use seperate streams and import the audio as mp3. The file size only jumps about 10kb for each clip as far as I can tell and it will stay in sync, even at 15fps if you select streaming instead of event for the audio.

To do this export the flv files from squeeze without audio and stick them in the timeline. Then import a wav or mp3 of the audio and stick it on the same keyframe (using an extra layer may add kbs to the file size so it's better to stay on the same one). Select streaming and check the export settings for each file, setting them to the compression you were using in squeeze.

This may also work for non-squeeze imports, if there is an "import video only" option (not at the computer with flash on right now so I can't tell).

This also works out better because you can preview (and see) the audio on the timeline so you don't have to export each time you want to see if stuff is synced. You can also use the envelope tools, I guess...

I haven't tried 30fps, but it should work as the streaming setting will keep all synced.

    Zach.
