If your gonna have a gun in the house, be sure to have it behind locked doors. I mean my uncle has guns (hunter)and my cousins never blew someone away!! Why? He has them behind locked, Bolted, Doors!!
i believe eductation is far more important than locking them away (which is good as well). Education will teach your child about guns and the devestation they bring. You can lock up your guns, but can you lock up your neighbors guns?
I lean more toward the edge of education, too. I see so many parents that fear firearms, they fail to learn anything about them and fail to teach their kids safety issues regarding them. Their ignorance and lack of willingness to learn only harms them and their kids.
There are more hunters in our family than I can shake a stick at - they ALL (including myself) educate their kids about the dangers of firearms ... Most of our kids hunt and have been for several years ... the kids in our families don't 'play' with guns because they know the damage that can be done.

cartoon serial killer...
The morality of an individual, is part genetic and part socially learnt. Mothers fathers, teaches, and people in our community all go to shape who we are. True, not all one parent children feel the need to harm another, although they feel they have been let down by life. In Germany last month a gunman guy went into his old school and shoot most of the teachers dead…He apparently came from a good background and know one had expected this type of action from him.
Intelligence, is also a factor in some shooting crimes, the lack of reasoning and self control.
You could write a whole collections of books about the reasons be hide child killers and their reasons.
Video games are just that, and its up to the child’s guardian to educate him or her in the differences between games and reality.
Defence lawyers aren’t interested in the truth…they are paid to win any case, and using video game graphics as the reason for a gun crime, is flimsy
You might as well prosecute the parent(s) for allowing him to play these type of games.

isn't that why parents should be involved in their kids lives?
I'm personally tired of the ****ing media shoving down my throat that videogames and outside influences are the damn problem. can't take responsiblity for what your children may do in life, and that you don't want to take the time to teach your children better... wear condoms. Hell, I'll even treat.

cheese me.
so you're saying that you'll buy everyone in the world a condom???!?!?!?!?
good luck...

no. I am saying that idiots that can sit back and blame a video game, that THEIR money bought, and music that THEIR money bought, and were both allowed to enter THEIR house, I say sterilize them.

See (and I know you agree with me ) ... Parents don't want to parent their kids anymore. Video games/computer games/television/anything but them ~ what great babysitters! <heavy on the sarcasm> And when things go wrong ~ they don't want to accept responsibility. It's everyone's fault but theirs - for cryin' out loud, let's sue someone! - that'll fix everything.

Feels good to vent eh? Often times parents are completly out of the know when it comes to their children. This happens across all socio-economic backgrounds. Poor kids will break the law out of perceived necessity. Rich kids will break the law out of boredom. (one of the little punks stole one of my cars once..... if only he had died behind when he wrecked it)As far as their money. often times its the kids money. Usually gotten from illegal gains.
Whats my big concern? WHen i have to blow a kids head off when he breaks into my house. (I do believe in using deadly force to protect my property). I would much rather give a cranial lead injection to the parents than the kid.
this really isn't a big concern anymore as i live in the middle of nowhere. Now if you'll excuse me, i'm all pissed off and am going to listen to some judas priest, led zepplin and danzig. anyone know how to get a cd to play backwords?

I also believe there are some people that are just inherently bad ... (like the girl who recently killed her younger brother ... ain't nothin' gonna help that girl but dyin') ...

Hopefully that judge will throw out that argument.
There is proof enough that the games ALONE were not the cause:
If games were the cause, then wouldn't there be MILLIONS of cases? I myself am a gamer, and I have never had the urge to shoot someone in the head... well... maybe force choke...
The same thing also goes with movies. Of the Millions that saw "The Matrix", how many went on a killing spree?
There must have been something wrong with the minds of the kids BEFORE playing those games, unless they are like mindless sheep and are very easily influenced.

vent? no. just tired of the idiotic masses that somehow convinced themeselves they can have children, and raise them.
ooh boy, FK better be glad it's a G-Rated site.
parents in the dark... yeah, that happens. buy you know what? my parents hated my music growing up, but they know that I would not buy something with the money they gave me that they would disapprove of. Now, when it was MY money buying it, different thing. But... I still did nothing to disrespect their house. So, I didn't play it loud.
Morbid Angel is much better backwards. Same for The Village People.

Good parents.
However some parents just drink and do drugs all day. That is if both parents stick around. Don't know what I"m trying to say. But I think parents are ALWAYS the ones to blame when you have bad kids. That is not to say bad parents can not have good kids.
O.k., now that's really funny.
