Hi, I hate being a newbie and asking these kinda questions, but I couldn't find the answer in a search.

I have a grid-like image...4 lines (2 horizontal and 2 vertical). I'm trying to make the horizonal lines move up and down really fast, and the vertical lines move back and forth. I'm adding several move effects to each line (move up 5 frames, move down 5 frames, etc.) to make the lines "wiggle." Is there a more simple way of doing this? I tried using "wave," but doesn't really make lines wiggle, just tilt at the ends.

    Any advice, tips, questions, anything?

just go for a move effect. play around with frame rate, and frames in the effect.

To make it slower do this :

    Open the .SWI file ...

Double Click on the effects (Violent_Vibe_Left_to_Right) --
    in the effect settings ...

    The X position - Sine -- Period = 2 ...
Change the period to a higher number

    Does that make sense ?

    Hope so

quick question... how exactly did you do this initially?

"Violent_Vibe_Up_and_Down" isn't in my Shake menu, and when I paste it in the Effects Property menu, it doesn't shake like yours...I'm sure its because I haven't configured the numbers the same way as your swi, but I'm still wondering where you got "Violent_Vibe_Up_and_Down" from to begin with

I made that effect for you specifically.

Then, I saved it with that name "Violent_Vibe_etc.etc."

If you want the .SFX file - just let me know (.SFX files are the individual effects --- and, since I saved it - it is in my "effects" folder -- but, obviously it wouldn't be in yours) -- although, you can open the effects settings and then save it yourself.

    damn.. that's tight

thanks for offering the .sfx file too, but I don't think I'll need it. I just copy/pasted the effect from your swi file and edited it. Thanks for all the help, you saved me a lot of time on the "move effect"s

    hmmm

Violent_Vibe_Up_and_Down is working great, but Violent_Vibe_Left_to_Right isn't doing anything in my swi. that's strange...

    'tis strange ...

Well ... Here are the .SFX files --- save them into the Effects folder : (if you didn't change the install directory of SWiSH - it will be located at

    C:\Program Files\SWiSH v2.0\Effects\Snake

Save the .SFX files into that directory -- and you should then have them in the list of effects for the Snake effect.

    and,
    http://www.purifiedproductions.com/t...p_and_Down.sfx

    Hope it helps,
