There are a couple of known issues with the installer that are easily circumvented and will not prevent you from installing. We will address them in a minor update due out next week. Here they are:

    1. If Flix Pro has problems in OS8.6 - 9.x, its probably due to the Carbon library. You need CarbonLib 1.5. The installer should automatically detect it, but it's not. If you don't have it, go to:
    http://download.com.com/3000-2202-83...ml?legacy=cnet
    a. Download CarbonLib 1.5
    b. Unstuff it
    c. Place the unstuffed CarbonLib file into the "Extensions" folder.
    d. Reboot.
    Flix Pro should work now.
Under OSX, this step is not required.

    2. If Flix Pro installs but all you see is a generic icon and you can't run the program, it's because the package is not displaying correctly.
    To fix this,
    a. hold down the "Ctrl" key while clicking on the "generic icon" and select "Show Package Contents".
    b. A window with the contents of the folder should have an executable icon.
    c. Double executable icon.
    That should do it.

These minor installer issues will be fixed soon.

    Installing from OSX

    Hi
I have problems trying to run the Flix 2.501 install app on the MacOSX partition because of following error message during installation proccess:

    >Error creating file 1008:5, -5000 Acces denied error
    > You do not have enough access privileges for this installation

Strange thing is that I am not being asked to input the root user/pass data as usually is required with most install apps

Also I have been trying to make an installation on the OS9 partition with same null result. However I had not problems at all, installing it on other machine- PowerPC 7500 -running MacOS8.6

    Any hint?
    TIA
    Niko

Any Mac installer issues should be solved with the latest installer.
