I think by July, all libraries/institutions that receive government funding must impement some type of filtering/monitoring software to continue funding.
TGLC, that raises the question: Who needs 24/7 internet access?

not everybody is on the same schedule.
scenario. poorkid.
wake up 6:00. find breakfast get ready for school(sleep). 7:00
school 8 to 3 o'clock. work 3 - 10 oclock. after 10... ****ing library closed.
Concerning library filtering, who decides what is filtered and what is not?
If i am doing a report of the declining morals of western civilization, do you really think I'll be able to access a site on the marguis de sade's works?
Or what about "hate speach"
what if i'm doing a report on the history of propaganda?

Filtering software has been proven to be buggy, blocking harmless sites and letting unwanted sites through, because it is almost fully based all on keywords.
It's been fought many times in different courts...and this time, it's both Republicans and Democrats fighting for the enaction of such a bill...
