    Hi,

I am working from a PC to create a hybrid Flash Cd-Rom consisting of the projectors and a number of .swf files they link to. Creating the PC .exe projector and autorun.inf file was not problem. And, I was able to create the hybrid CD (from my PC) using MacImage (www.macdisk.com) to create an iso - image file. Works fine on the PC version and will autostart. Works on the Mac but my problem is how do I get it to autostart for Mac? I've read the Mac Threads and know you can do this in Toast on a Mac.

My question is this: Does anyone know of ANY way to create a Hybrid Cd-rom where BOTH the PC and MAC versions will autostart - using a PC to create it? Or is the only way to get the Mac projector to autostart is to use Toast from a Mac?

I've been struggling with this for a while and would really appreciate some clarification.

    Thanks much,
    Amy Lewis

It supposed to be possible, check here for the way to do it:

I''m having problems getting this to work on an XP machine using Toast Lite, Toast 5 may work better.

I run into the same question when I used MacImage for the first time but their e-mail support was fast and this is what you should do:

After the image is compiled (in Hybrid Mode), you have to open it (again) in Partition Mode (switch the mode in the 1st item of the Options menu), select the file you want to auto start on Mac (right click, choose Autolaunch feature) and save the modified image.

For me it worked fine, but keep in mind that the Mac user have to have the "autostart" enabled for it to work (same issue as "autorun" on PC).

You can check this thread too:

    Hope this helps.

Thanks so much. I downloaded CDanywhere. Looks great but it's a little pricey. However I was able to do it in MacImage as you described. Thanks so much for that info. It worked fine!
