Screwed FK Arcade

I'm sorry to say but the new and improved arcade sucks. There are a bunch of broken links still not fixed. When you choose a resolution window (i.e 800 by 600), it only shows that part of the flash movie. You can't resize the window either . Whoever controls the arcade, I sent you a broken link e-mail and it isn't fixed.

not much. I've got up off my rear end and started remaking my RPG for flash 5- the code is sooo much faster. I'm trying to wrap my head around the concept of objects- maybe you can help me out with that. saw your side scroller- pretty nice!

which one ? the one with the flashkit.com or the platform game the last one is almost complete. Few minor bugs here and there.

this the very very furst try. less than 50 lines of code. I have a much better version with a char animation.

this one I did as an experiment with a char animation using swifty font. After that I desided to use it as a footer but it was a bit bigger so I left it as is.

on that first platform game, why dont you check for floor collision by checking to see where the person will be rather then where he is.

for instance:

onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (this._y+this._height/2+ymov>floor_bottom) {
this._y=floor_bottom;
ymov=0;
}
}


this works, its what i have done in the past. by the way, its really looking good!

Jobe to tell you the trought I used this the first time a bit different way the same logic. After this I redo the game from scratch now what I use is proximity check the usual way for each platform then a simple hitTest () wich returns 2 variables to the hero.
1. Drop = "dont drop "; he he else it goes down cuz of gravity
2. Correction = the diference between the hero-botom and the platform_top.
This works great.

my guess would be that they are busy. It's amazing that you can be so brazenly impolite concerning a service that you pay nothing for. They are trying to implement a dramatic facelift on a site that has over 40,000 registered users without significant downtime. Of course there are bugs, and they will be fixed. As a web developer, I know that things like fixing a database-driven flash arcade takes some time. As a teenybopper, you don't even know that IT'S IMPOLITE TO SHOUT IN A BULLETIN BOARD, so I doubt you really appreciate the task they have at hand.
The reason we aren't sticking to topic is because, at least for me, we feel that your whining doesn't deserve much of a response, and that the conversation us grownups are having is immeasurably more interesting.
And finally, try being polite, because all you're doing is embarassing yourself.

forceXcalibur we all have our own opinions on things, but when you blurt out about it, people are going to disagree with you, personally i think you need to grow up, the fkarcade rules, if you dont like it then dont go there, simple!!!

Also sort out your attitude and tone of voice towards other members!

Mark will sort the bugs out, we all make mistakes, nothing is perfect, but as soon as we are made aware of these things,they are sorted!!

Some people are forgetting the problem in Arcade. I think this site is awesome. I am not dissing it. I am just a little ticked off cuz no one has responded to my email i sent and all. I dont mean to get everyone all mad and against me. So I'm sorry for my bad side but I'm just mad cuz I haven't got a reply.

I didn't think your comments were so bad. There ARE problems with the "improved" Arcade!

And to those who made the "demand your money back" comments, maybe you're forgetting that we do pay our money each and every time we watch those ads load at the top of each and every window.
