Came across the following article : http://www.msnbc.com/news/785760.asp
Sounds like it's time to back up all those "sent messages" if you got somthing you want to keep !!!
Don't use it much except for my spam account, but hey: some people actually rely on it!

they only delete the sent items... Wish is not very important .. And you can always make a copy of your sent items into the draft folder or any other folder that you have create...

when i looked 2 days ago, they were away! my God man!

An Inconvenient Serving Size
“I LITERALLY broke down in tears,” said Zajc, who now lives in Newfoundland, Canada, and for the past 24 hours has been furiously e-mailing recipients of the messages, hoping some of them saved her missives.
So, she moved to Newfoundland because she lost her emails, or did she just run out of money on the World Tour.

getting an ISP account is probably better, because you can store everything on your computer, use any email program you want, and easily back things up. probably get more response for tech support or something since you are paying for it, also.

don't u get an email account automatically when u sign up with your ISP?
-
Agent de Folie
It depends who you sign up with. I got one but I prefer hotmail. You can always store your letters as txt files on your computer so I don't know what some of you are crying about.

Gross Pecululatarian
When all the stored messages on hotmail get deleted without you even knowing they were going to?

The Eror Group
I used to use hotmail all the time but i only use it for crappy email junk now, such as jokes etc.
by the way caution to anyone using hotmail... and anyother email account. there is a new virus doing the rounds called the goldfish. somewhere in the email, the attachment, or the tittle it will have the word goldfish... do not accept it as there isnt a cure for the virus yet.
i have my own isp email account set up by the company im working for, but for personal stuff im using lycos, they are slo but im not having any other problems with them.
i dont like the fact that hotmail can be hacked so easily and that so many hackers try to hack it all the time.
good for first time emailers etc and people that dont rely on their email accounts... its free after all.

I for one have to disagree that Microsoft's HOTmail is "useless anyway". Sure you're limited in the size of your attachments (unless you want to actually pay for more room. Pay, how absurd!).
But hotmail, for one, is FREE. And another reason, it's web based e-mail, so it's the same wherever you access it from. AOL users, have you ever gone to a friend's house that doesn't have AOL and you access your e-mail account from the world wide web on aol.com? Well, it's pathetic. They limit your writing to only plain text! You can't even choose the size of your font!
At least hotmail has a very acceptable panel of options when writing an e mail...all from the web! No software, no installations, and no extra space taken up on your computer.
All I'm saying is that hotmail is useful, especially for satirists like me.
