I don't know of any which currently do (It wouldn't be too difficult to make a standalone Flash video player, tho), but if you wanted to bet on one incorporating it in the near future, I'd put my money on Quicktime, since it contains Sorenson codecs natively, and Sorenson developed the Flash video codec.

yeah it's not much difficult to make standalone FLV player but it need Flash Communication server installed ... because there is no other method so you can play the FLV from flash via action scripting.

right?

FLV video is for importing MX video into Flash MX. It is not for playing. Since FLV uses uncompressed audio the file sizes are huge and not practical for web streaming, CDs, and most applications.

I really got shocked when i read your post ... really ... I tested with every video and audio configurations and checked that FLV is good at both (quality and size). I also checked the DivX, its more good because it uses some really intelligent algorithms ...

i just came to know that FLV uses uncompressed audio ... are you sure about it? from where you got to know about it ...

actually i should not ask you such a questions coz u r wildform guy and you have mastery in this field and may have more experience then me in this field ...

so any way to record FLV with compression of audio?

There's some good info about using video in Flash on Macromedia's site here:

Basically, the .FLV is more of an authoring format - used to pass video between files while retaining compression settings, etc., between files. The .FLV has information about video compression, but saves the audio data raw, so that compression can happen in conjunction with the rest of the Flash movie.

In other words, similar to how you can set the compression settings if individual images within your Flash movie, you can also set compression of an entire video apart from other images in the .fla. Sound, however, is all compressed during export to the .swf file format. So any other sounds in your movie will have the same compression settings and audio quality as that of your movie.

You can still set the sound settings for individual clips individually (which is reccomended for good sound quality/playback/file size consideration), but the video sound will be compressed based on the publish settings (http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/images_video/flash_video/flmx_video08.html)
