Ahhh something happened to my one computer that caused it to basicly act like its been restored to factory condition! I have no idea how that happened but thank god I back up all my files on cds. I just got a couple things I need to re download (Winamp, ftp, all them small programs) and I should be back in business later tonight.
I think I know what happened... anyone use Yahoo Messenger here? Is it possible to mess someones computer through it? Because if it is, I think I know what happened, and there gona pay

do you have the 'restore' function in your computer's system, it's where you can restore your computer to a previous state by selecting a date that an 'image' was taken of your hard drive. The only way I can think of what you describe happening, back to factory state, would be for someone to select that first date from a restore app.
what did you see happening?

It was very strange... I have restored computers in the past but I nevr saw anything like this. When I started my computer this morning, it started and had none of my files or anything, just the basic icons like trash, my computer, etc.So I got the Image Restore disks and just deided to restore everything... everything's ok though now, I got it pretty much back to normal.
