testing preloader before uploading to net

i am making a intro for a website that is a joint project, therefore i cant upload this intro myself and need to check it before i send it to my friend. can i test this in flash at all i heard about view>show streaming but cannot find this opyion in flash 5 plz help thnx in advance - barry

To find the show streaming view:

Test your movie (go to Controll > Test Movie)
The .swf will open with the movie playing.
Now, if you click on View, you will see "show streaming" in the dropdown menu. Selecting "bandwidth profile" is also usefull.

With this option enabled, you will be able to see if the preloader works.

you just gotta upload it somewhere, you can use geocities to test it.
