Well I was 3 pages into the the account application for Ameritrade when it gets to this little section called "Funding your account". Turns out I need 2000 bucks just to start...

Anyone know of a online stock trading site with a much lower minimum deposit???(And most of the same features)

I really want to start doing some trading...but with penny stocks...not anything I'd need 2000 to start in.

    Thanks in advance,
    Clif

Please correct me if I'm wrong but Ameritrade doesn't deal in penny stocks do they.

Also for penny stocks you still need to buy in lots of 50, 100, 200, or 500 or so I've been told.

    Try http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Ec...ages/Discount/

for a full list.. please let me know if you find a good one!

Ameritrade deals in any stock that's on the market..including OTC stocks.

Sure...I have to buy in lots of 100, but I can easily do that with stocks that are only 1 cent or so.

2000 dollars seems extravagant...I'll look into that list. Thanks!

Agreed, they are who I bought my MACR stock through, very good, now minimum balance .etc. Instant transactions are slightly more expensive then some of the other ($15). But, its worth it in my opinon.
