    Hiya!,

After my previous post im getting the idea of what I want to do. I want to have essentailly a 'playlist' of movies (collected dynamically from a folder). The userr can click on an item in the playlist, then staus bar loads in that movie and they can play with playback controls. Problem is im getting confused with which way to do this, and in what format and method. ..Should I take all video clips (.mpg's) embed them into flash and publish them, and essentially create swf versions of the movies and use the loadMovie action for each movie? OR create flv formats of the mpg movies? , IM CONFUSED on what extaly is best and what flvs really are.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi.
FLV files are for importing video into Flash. If you want to create a video and then later import it into Flash as opposed to using Load Movie, then you need to use FLV files. But FLV files won't play in the Flash player.
SWF files must be loaded into Flash. You cannot import them. But they can be played in the Flash player.
    That is fundamentally the difference.
