I am new and am having trouble setting a particular element to show itself on a particular frame. In other words, I can import elements and set actions, but for example, after an explosion I want new text and further actions and whenever I try to do it, new elements come in at the beginning rather than later. Would appreciate some help. Thank you very much.

Don't think in Frames that is not how 3dfa works.

every event has a 'delay'. This delay is from the last event. When you put a lets say show event in the timeline you will see a bar next to that element. This shows the time it takes for the event to complete. Now add to the delay of the next thing you want to happen and watch as the left end of that bar moves to the right, You can position it to start after the first event.

    1. set movie options to "advanced"
    or
    2. create timeline instead of movie
