What do you do when when you have to design a website....and work in a TERRIBLE logo into the design.

I have tons of design ideas...but I can't figure out how to integrate this crappy logo into them.

    Here's the monster:

That one doesn't even have the transparency right...oh well.

You get the basic idea. It will normally be on a white background.

What do you guys do when you are forced to take a badly layed out logo and integrate into a good design....with good results..

    Thanks in advance,
    Clif

Clean the logo up a bit. Vectorize it in Flash. And make it smaller.

Even better, tell them you think they should change their logo. Then offer to do it for them *cha-ching!*

I would but they just payed for this one!

Even worse, they have been accepted into InfoTech a huge investor conference. They have their banner and everything made up...too late to change.

I'll clean it up obviously...just don't know how to fit neatly into a site. (Part of my problem is I like to design structural websites...don't like curves as much as hard lines.)

    1. It doesn't matter what you like to design. It matters what the user wants

    2. Its a poor artist that blames the logo

    3. I have seen much worse logos, I"m assuming you can get an .eps from them or a higher res cleaner version. That looks like a .gif.

    4. personally I could have a lot of fun with that logo. I would tell you how, but I don't work for free.

    5. Curves intersecting hard lines can be very interesting.

I'm not moving this, since you probably already know you're in the wrong forum.
