I was just in Phoenix all last week at a conference in the America West Arena and Phoenix Civic Plaza.
Man, it is HOT down there! It's a beautiful state, though.
Are you in Phoenix?

No, I've never been to Phoenix, but I love the desert. The hotter the better. I did make it to Nogales though. It's a stones throw from the border. In fact, when you cross the border, you will be in Nogales, Mexico...went there too.

Anyway, I belong to several bidding services, similar to elance. Well, I bid on a project [$1,200] and the client private messaged me
saying that they liked my portfolio..but then they found out that I was wasn't local to Phoenix, then rejected my bid, and changed the bid description to include the location.

So, I just thought that maybe someone else could benefit from the opportunity. [I also don't do anything in asp, and it is a site upgrade and maintenance deal, so they are dead set on not changing their backend.]

That's a crunch with the location. Many companies aren't comfortable with distance business. I have great connections with ASP developers, but unfortunately none in Phoenix. We develop PHP here, and farm out our ASP and the more complex PHP coding.

I'm going to copy this thread into the Scripting & Backend forum for you. Hopefully it will get to the right crowd.
