let's face it, a left-handed person can't type "julius caesar" right. i've seen a lot of left-handed genii (that's a fake latin plural for you lefties) at my school. so what if they're a bit smarter than the guy next to me? i could beat the world's five hundred best left-handed spellers without a bead of sweat, since they all ask you very simple, banal words to spell, such as onomatopoeia or pretentious. i can type up to 270 words per minute, and read up to 680. i am an artist, a musician, a writer, a thinker, an architect, and many things more. i'm also an accomplished piano player....so all you lefties can swallow your pride.

    Left-hand = right-brained: Artful, creative, open-minded, marketing, people-oriented, etc etc

Right-hand=left-brained: Engineering, math, structures, planning, rationalizing etc etc

And yes, I am completely left-brain dead! I cannot plan, I cannot organize, I cannot add 2 plus 2, but I can tell how many apples there are on the table!

Maybe, for these reason, I have a VERY hard time with actionscript...
Lefty are good at logics (u've got it all backward my friend). "Left brained" was a term given to these traits
b4 they disected a human brain and notices it is wired
differently - and hence the swap over u mention.

I (chess playing, actionscripting dude) knowing this logically, is why i spent most of a decade unlearning it,
..by getting artistic, thinking outside the box, and such.

I think it was a reference to right handers having a much greater grasp of fictional writing

    Nordy, Nordy, Nordy,

I always look up email information before posting it.

I'm right handed but can honestly say I'm strong in most of those areas mentioned as lefty strong points.

One thing I'm not fantastic at is math computation though.

Face it, righty, we're better than you. People that are left-handed are more intelligent, more balanced, and more creative than those unfortunate right-handed people.

    Famous Left-Handed

Jesus (appointed leader of some sort of religious cult - is this a talent?)
Luke Skywalker (not a real person)
Julius Ceasar (Deserves some credit for being the last person to conquer England)
    Beethoven (socially inept musician)
Sarah Jessica Parker (not that great)
Leonardo da Vinci (OK, he's pretty good)
Tom Cruise (He's pretty good too)
    Brent Spiner (talentless)
    Tim Allen (really talentless)
    Wil Wheaton (OMG, really talentless)
Aristotle (Had some theories, mostly wrong)
    Emma Thompson (really, really talentless)
Michael Dorn (anything since Star Trek? - thought not)
Gandhi (Pacifism - yeah, that works well)
Matthew Broderick (the most talentless on this list)
Alexander the Great (I've heard some nasty things about this fella)

On the hurricane scale, 11 examples on your list of worthy lefties are remarkable in name fame alone, their reputations actually being more worthwhile than their acheivements.

This is the best list of lefties available? - If it is, I recommend that you lefties find something else to be proud of.

(Anyway, as a leftie, why do you feel the need to be validated? - Is it that deblitating to be leftie that you need to highlight the fact that you are a leftie, in case someone might think that you're some kind of freak?)

    and what about ambidextrous people?
For War's a banker, flesh his gold. There by the furnace of Troy's field, Where thrust meets thrust, he sits to hold His scale, and watch the spear-point sway; And back to waiting homes he sends Slag from the ore, a little dust To drain hot tears from hearts of friends
