Looking for 360, 360 fisheye, or panoramic images
Free, of course!
Moderators, if this is better suited for the Boardroom, please accept my apologies. However, if you move it, please move the traffic along with it, if you don't mind...nobody seems to surf the Boardroom much
As the title says, I'm looking for some, one, any, 360 degree, 360 degree fisheye, or just panoramic images that I can stitch together for use in a VR or psuedo VR, panoramic demo.
Free would be great, as I won't be selling the images. Although, to be clear, I do need them for a demo from which I will hopefully be profiting from the images indirectly, i.e., I won't be selling them, but just using them to demo a product.
Unfortunately, I don't personally have the required photographic equipment. Neither does our local photographer (no fisheye lens, that is). I found a local Realtor who does, but they wouldn't lend/rent out the equipment.
Anyway, are there any photography buffs out there who wouldn't mind lending me a couple of photos for a demo? Or, do you know of a site where I can obtain these type of photos?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
James

how are you going to sell it if you can't even provide the demo?

tru e.. not very good business sense if your trying to get a client and can't do the work

emeriti:
Actually, I already have a demo. Three, in fact, but the image quality is lacking, and none of them are fisheye lens photographs.
Regarding the work, I'll be marketing the skinable, Flash-based, VR viewer, not photographic services, to local realtors, all of which already have their own photography equipment, and will be able to keep down costs by taking their own photographs.
So, my intent is to just market the viewer,
photo stitching, etc., along with hosting, and, of course, any addtional web work. Just a foot in the door sort of thing for a burgeoning online real estate market.

Not quite what I had in mind, but I appreciate the effort anyway.
Thanks,

I did some panoramas for my church's website, but I think the quality is probably below what you are seeking. first-baptist.net if you're interested. If you are, I'll get you the source images...like I said they aren't too good though.
Good luck,

Reading this thread reminded me of a thread that I posted not long ago. This may not answer your query directly but might be helpful...

asheep_uk is right -- Aversion knows alot about these kinds of things as the above thread demonstrated..

Hi guys:
I appreciate your responses, but you're apparently not reading my post correctly. I don't need help with creating a viewer, I've already done that, and I don't need help stitching together images, I can do that, what I am interested in doing is just obtaining some images for a demo of the viewer, because I don't have the equipment to take them myself.
I thought that maybe some camera/photography buffs might have a few lying around, and wouldn't mind sharing them. Kinda like the photo sharing sites, where you post your pictures for everyone to download, etc. I belong to several of those sites, and I've seen a few panoramic images, but no 360 degree fisheye lens images.
Thanks, again, for your responses. And if anyone has any of these images that they wouldn't mind sharing, I'd appreciate it, if you'd post to this thread. Thanks for everyone's input.
Thanks,
James

A few people you might want to check up with.
360 Dave of http://360texas.com/
He moderates around several places. And when not working on a specific web design he's usually found offering help to others.
Bretski is another one.
http://figjamdesign.com
He used to host a pano forum. And if he doesn't release a pano for a contact he usually offers it up.
ziggy
has been playing in this field as well. you might want to check into http://www.4ums.com

Hi Frets:
Thanks for the links. I had already been to 360Texas, but I'd forgotten about Brettski.
He has some nice images on the Panorama express demo, but I don't think he'd want me using the exact same images in my own demo. Granted, it won't be available over the web for viewing by the general public, but even so....
Thanks! It's Good to see you around, every now and again.
