LOL taking a 1800MHZ P4 and underclocking it to 1000MHZ isn't overclocking.

I think he said, he's heard of people getting an extra gig out of that setup.

Excellant service/support/computers/prices/and QUALITY!...
I just got my Athlon XP(Athlon all the way... No overpriced Intels!) 1.8 from them and it runs like a dream.
Building your own is your best bet. It sometimes is much cheaper and you know what's in it.
I suggest Vitality's Barebone kits. All you have to do is add a hard drive. Do be advised however, this is only the tower with all included but hard drive, and if you want, you can downgrade to a 52/56 X Cd-rom instead of a DVD-Drive (who the hell wants to watch a movie on a little computer screen anyways...) or upgrade to a Cd-RW drive for now much more.
------------------------
(EDIT)
Sorry, but they don't offer the kits anymore that include all but hard drive... It's just tower/floppy/board/Processor and a few other things...

johnhadtobanme-myfault . You won this time john, next time ill hit the button. GMF
ill come back later and check out your system, ill make sure you are getting the most out of your money. from the above comments, there are a few errors, for example, rdram with a amd setup, not possible. o/c a 1.8ghz to 2.8ghz, possible, but only with the right chip and setup, ie you cannot overclock in most manufacturers built computers, ie dell, compaq etc. but if you build it yourself as you are doing then you will be able to overclock. but if you dont know what fsb is, id recommend not overclocking and sticking to the base system until you have done some good research into overclocking, i can give you some links if you give me your email address.

the system you listed above is a good choice already, but are you going to overclock and do you wish to play some new games on your pc?

ah yes sorry, there is a new nvidia card thats going to be out, the nv30 or geforce 5, what ever they name it, that should be THE card to get, but its not going to be cheap, around £250. if you cant wait, get a radeon 9700 for around the same price, which is out right now.
if you are overclocking get a 2400+ athlon as these are clocking pretty well recently.

Not sure if they ship to Australia, but I always get my parts from http://www.accessmicro.com. Just bought an Intel barebone system with a Gigabyte MB, Intel P4 2.7 GHZ CPU, and 512 DDR RAM. They also had a special on the Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti 4600, so I picked that up too. Shipped from California to DC. Check the website and see what their international policy is. Excellent service I would say.
