I am looking for specific sound cuts/loops

I am looking for a sound library, specifically cuts of individual notes by various musical instruments.

I started to do this myself but it is taking forever, so if anyone knows where something like this can be found - preferably for free - I would really appreciate the link.

    Thanks.

    Heya, rip van Winklemanthus!

What I am looking for, and (slowly) creating/collecting is a library of individual notes (scales) for various instruments.

I want to use the cuts to build up music snippets for use in movies, rather than one long and large sound file. Can cut file size down a lot especially as the stuff I put together has tons of repetition.

Only need one octave's worth per instrument, can shift up/down to create other octaves.

Currently am finding bits, and creating bits [ slowly: midi (capture) > wav (for work in acid) > mp3 ( for the movies) ].

If you can help me to shortcut the process, I would appreciate it - but please, not if it means wasting your time and effort.

    Owen...
I can help you with piano, violin & bass samples.
(as you know,Music is my second hobby, after hardware...)
What instrument & how many scales do you need ?
Also,I need a couple of days to build the ZIP file for you (because I have a huge WAV table).

    p.s.
Van Winklemanthus must be my (unknown) brother from Germany (or Holland).

    Remus,

All the instruments sound good. One octave, middle C, would be ok, one either side would be fine ..

    .. but ..

.. I don't like the sound of it taking a couple of days (even doing a bit here and there). Please, please, don't waste any time on this just to save me wasting my time.

PS: I did listen to your music the other day, and I think you have too much talent (in too many areas) for your own good.

I have never used audio in Flash/KM and I have no musical talent (just like my artistic talent), but I think you guys will be interested in this...

Martin Wilde has written an article at Sonify.org that takes standard MIDI file data, parses it in ActionScript, and outputs it using Flash's native sound object. You can also download the source from there...

    Just brilliant!!
