I hate 'em, but for some reason I can't get away from installing it.

I can. haven't installed any version of Real Player since the 4.0 days... so that's at least 4 years.

Great news! Maybe people will stop using this spyware bloated pile of crap.
Its such a shame the BBC uses this dire software on their site. They are trialing WMV/WMA at the minute, so fingers crossed for a change!

I can't stand Realplayer, its a pain to implement on your server and its a pain to use. It hate this pile of crap and I hope it dies soon.

I e-mail the BBC complaining about this every so often, doesn't seem to work.
