speaking of tanks...
since this IS a game forum...can someone help me make a tank game similar to the NES game "battle city". i loved taht game, and it seem very very simple compared to stuff 'round here...if you arent familiar with it i can explain it briefly:
you control the tank w/ the arrow keys, similar to zelda and you can move up down left and right, not diagonally. there are walls that dissappear when you shoot at them. and there are enemies that spawn around the map, and they are the same as you, except their bullets dont take out the walls, and their bullets dont go thru walls(neiter do yours), i think the movements of the enemies are random...they seem that way. there are also walls that are uneffected by your bullets, and "water" that you can shoot thru, but you cannot drive into. thats basically it.

i need help w/ it. how do i make the "bullets" like on keypress it shoots one out of the way its facing...and how would you set that up...is the bullet an mc w/ hittests?

Phantom Flasher...
Duplicate Movie Clip, or Attach Movie Clip.
Look them up in the actionscript dictionary, then all you do is get the direction or rotation of the tank turret (the gun) then duplicate the bullet then.
You will need code to make the bullet move but you can cross that bridge when you get to it
