Griffhiggins 2.2
Just bought the ATI - TV Wonder and..
I love it...but it is kind of buggy. If you aren't extremly careful the TV display will get stuck in the NTSC display mode..and nothing you do will change it to NTSC-j.
It is annoying, but playing vhs and mario on the computer is pretty cool!
I really want to get a cable line up here...take a little effort though.
(Does anyone know why I can't record very good. It occassionally flickers making it unsuitable for transfer to DVD. I've set the proccess to high priority but to no avail. Maybe you can record without the display on??)

Phantom Flasher...
hmmm... hard disk/processor lag maybe?
Could be a built in protection thing... Try searching the net for info on the card Is it the digital one or just the normal analogue one?

Griffhiggins 2.2
PCI version.
Has coaxial, s-video, and composite connections.
I think I'm just playing the movie at way to high a resolution which steals away from the much-needed proccessor calcs.

I have the VE version and it flickers when there is to much CPU activity going on at one time. Check and see what else is open that is pulling down the CPU.
Other than that my only compliants are that the skins are ugly, it won't let you save in a partition except the one its installed on (No Saving Directly to a CD), The WEB Browser TV Function only Intergrates with IE, and it needs a very strong signal. However the TVW VE Edition is only about $30 (After Rebate about $50 before) so why complain.
To be honest the new AIW VE is a better buy especially if you want to upgrade your video card ($99 after rebate comes with a Intergrated TV Tunner, Radeon 7500, Has TV Out, and includes video editing software worth $99- especialy if you only have a PCI slot as the VE card is PCI). The AIW VE edition does not come with the ATI Remote Wonder though and is an aditional $50.
I wasn't lying when I said for $150 worth of hardware, A CD Burner, and some VCD software (Check my freeware thread) You could make any 200 mhz or better PC a MEdia PC and could have since 1997. Save your cash in other words.
