Hi ela4u,

There are a couple ways to do this. You can go through the 'wingdings' in the windows fonts and use a text character for the arrow, or you can draw an arrow, with the grid on and snap to grid enabled, you can use the bezier tool to draw an arrow. I am sure there are more ways, but those are the ones that I use most. Hope that helps...

Select the rectangle shape
Once you create the rectangle
Select the reshape tool in the layout panel

Right click on the sides to create more anchor points
Click and drag the anchor points
