newbie question, maybe: smooth gifs option

i'm just about to import an incredible amount of gifs in my flash animation (in fact, some tiles for my house editor if you know what i'm talking about).

    here's my question:
generaly i double-click the gif in my library and disable the "allow smoothing" button > that way they look pixelisated, which is a lot easier for me to work with...
by default, that button is enabled, which is a pain in my case, because i have to turn them off manually.

    > so is it possible to turn it off before importing?

    thanks ^^

    Hey marmotte

Great to see the sites still comin along. Sorry I dont have the answer to your question though. Just wanted to show you what I've got accomplished with my editor now though:
    http://xmcnuggetx.com/rpgProj/mapedit.swf

You can generate a map, the little save icon and load icon will be so if you have downloaded the MapEdit.exe you can write to files and browse for a file (just for ease of use). But you can now load a map. If your in the map, make sure you have a blank screen and do a load of test2.var

So in the long run what Im trying to say is if your doing it this way, if you need any help. I'd be glad to discuss how to do different things =)

    * again note: these are temp graphics, better ones to come *

    hello xMCNUGGETx

    i have a suggestion:
maybe i missed it, but it would be great to drag and drop the images when they are in the window; that way, we can arrange them easily, don't you think? the interactivity would be more enjoyable this way...?
your "action" is a good idea though (first i was thinking of some sort of pre-code that make for example a character walk a decided way)

about my house editor, it's slightly different than yours now. not easy to use yet, but i'll implement a lot of things... (advantage: you can work with different layers)

when i said not easy, it's because it's very hard to build a house from the beggining, wow ^^
you'll spend some time with it when it'll be finished ^^

    see you later

Hrm. Hopefully i understand you right and you couldnt figure out how to move the objects. Each object has its own control window. Hopefully the attached image helps.

    damn... sorry ^^

(the little dialog box is hidden when i point the mouse here)

in fact, your graphic editor is sooo different than mine. maybe yours is a lot more flexible, more enjoyable. mine is terribly tile based...
no way to drag objects here...

good job anyway, implement good looking graphics and it will roll ^^

i'll post a test version of mine one day ^^

Initially I had thought of going tilebased. Ive been working with them alot, but when we decided on our game we wanted 1 screen per map. So really (in my mind) there was no reason to go tile based. Each map will simple be a different file that I can use a loadvar to load, then display. This way to add maps all I'll have to do is upload a new .var file and edit a current one to add a link to it somehow.

Instantly I thought of your house idea when I had started to create this system.
