After Effects ---> Flash
Hi!
I really need some help here. I am trying to bring a 645 frame movie from after effects into flash and when I export it as an swf from after effects it gets all crazy and does not function correctly. When I rasterize the file in after effects it is way too big upon export as an swf (23meg!)
Does anyone know how I can export my movie from AEffects and bring it into Flash as a small (<800KB) file? Please help if you know. I would really appreciate the help.
Thanks-
Katy

so -your 600+ frames timeline turns out to be a 23 megs swf ? - or ... is the output a .mov with that size ?

The swf comes out as 23 meg. That's if I choose the ignore checkbox. IF not, the swf if small, yet doesn't work at all. Maybe there's a way to take a mov or an avi and compress it further? I don't know. I appreciate your help.

katy, sorry for this late reply- lil busy lately-
choose "Compostion" > "ad to render queue" ... here you can export( render) with very controlable settings- i suggest you don't take a sorenson 3 codec- choose motion jpeg A or something- at 100 % - choose your framerate ---
quality: best
resolution: full
size: your size
proxy use: no proxies
effects: current settings
---
output module
format; Qtime mov
afterwards you can use mediacleaner to compress the file for specific media ( web, cd, dvd, ...) and import it as an .mov into MX use the mx possibilities to compress it while importing it
---
be aware that A FX gives you huuuge files -- and be very aware that it don't uses the typical scripting like you can have in flash itself- you said it wasn't working; what do you mean ? and your end.mov or end.swf are you going to use it for web stuff or broadcast-television ?
