Other than size...how do you see it?

I'm leaving for vacation in a short while and want to buy one!

size and battery life is the only thing I can think of. I have a cd/mp3 player and I rather like it.

I was concerned with skipping as I use it in my car, and my car has very very very stiff suspension. It has not skipped.

Ummm.... one can play WMA's and the other can't? I dunno - depends on the model your looking at.

Please, no "model" jokes. It's too obvious.

The WMA format is the only advantage here. And the only advantage besides a very slight increase in quality over MP3 is DRM is built into WMA.

DRM does not benefit the consumer, however it does benefit the content holder thus they may feel more inclined to release directly to WMA. However with the controls that the WMA gives content holders you may not be able to copy the WMA in a manner which is consistant with the AHRA (Section 10 consumer use provisions and exceptions written into the US Copyright act in exchange for stiffer penalties and other changes to the act along with a Royalty given on every blank piece of digital media sold).

And a merry christmas to you Johnie.

I know WMA has DRM built in...but you can turn it off...as I have. (unless you acquired the content from a 3rd party...then you have to have a license..makes sense to me!)

But that is beside the point.

I went for the Sony Discman one...ran me 120....I found that I could have gotten the same one at Walmart for 100 though.

    This thing is a beauty!

    Thanks for the recommendations.
