    new xml/php/flash/A/S site

    http://hawaiian-wedding.nolibravo.com

    hi,

i'd love some feedback on this site. it is my first use of xml (weather page) in flash. i noticed the tables don't come out quite right in opera and old netscapes (i.e.-4.x). I can get it right by setting the left-alone td's to percentages, but then it goofs up the display for the current IEs and Netscapes, so I went back to the way it was. any suggestions with this or anything else (look and feel, navigation, etc) of the site?
    thanks!

    no-tec.

thanks for the constructive critique. if you wouldn't mind, please elaborate and tell me what you don't like about the graphics. i'd appreciate it a lot. this was a low paying gig, so i didn't go all out, but am still very interested in hearing what you think. thanks.

korcian, i don't know how shades of blue can give you a headache, but oh well. i would really appreciate some constructive critiques. something that i can read, think about, then change on the site to improve it. thanks again.

Sorry if i sounded like a twat. Being serious now, my eyes arn't the best, the blue on the blue looks blury and strains my eyes.

I am being constructive when i say this, just try a few other colours is my suggestion.

Also another bit of advice the text colour on that blue also does the same thing to me.

I asked my brother, he said the same thing, but that might just because we are brothers and share the same eye problems.

So my overall suggestion when i think about it, is change that colour blue to something suttle.

    Besides that nice work

the site is at its final resting place at http://hawaiian-wedding.nolibravo.com. i used a couple of your suggestions here. thanks for them. i also got the guestbook to work with the loadVars() method, allowing japanese text, and php coded it to show japanese time (on submission). added his music (streamed in because of file size) and one sound event (wave on nav button click). any other suggestions?

You have a Sound mute button! You have a Skip Intro button that isn't in the Flash movie!

    Wow!
