    what a good idea ^^
i was also thinking that some areas will be restricted/opened depending on the character you are currently playing (easy to implement, since dialogs are already interactive whether you are controling a character or another)(also, they have different abilities; rocky can hit the bushes and sometimes recieve random items (money, keys...?); the ninja can cut the same bushes with its sword (maybe there are some hidden entrance in it?) i also have some kind of chicken playable, it's so fun (he cannot read anything though).

my idea right now is: you can wander in the village freely, playing mini games and meeting people. now i'm planning to add a mission system: you go talk to the king, and he will assign you some missions you have to accomplish; save the ninja girl, retrieve something...etc

i'm currently reworking the graphics (sooo long and painfull), so that they fit the new size of the window (i'll put out the shadow thing i implemented earlier)

btw, the annoying thing with your clock is > i'll have to add a new alpha layer that simulates for example the night. it means surely huge slowdowns, don't you think? other that that, the idea is great.

i have another question; how to play "your" games? by opening a new html window? or directly with my game? both have disadvantages :-(

    Cool

    1st thing is first:

    BRING BACK THE COWS!

The scrolling engine is working nice and smooth.
Also I sent you an E-mail (kinda long...sorry) but you don't have to reply to all the questions.

    I have an Idea -

In the game, have some hidden items like, i don't know, an open source that is not already on your website.

    OR

Have a little Home/Shack ^^ and have a Gamecube or a Snes or something inside With your already made games to play on it, so it saves people opening a new window, and going to your website.

    Just a thought...

there's absolutely no doubt about it, cows will make a come back! yeah!!!

what open source are you looking for? ^^ (i'm just curious)

Have a little Home/Shack ^^ and have a Gamecube or a Snes or something inside With your already made games to play on it, so it saves people opening a new window, and going to your website.
    > i tried to import my bubble bobble in it (external swf), the keys didn't work anymore... also, if i load an external files, all games with a _root target will not work anymore (that's why i always use _parent in my games instead of _root, just in case i put my game in a new MC, without having to change all the targets...)
i don't know why the keys didn't work, maybe there was some similar variable used in both games, =conflicts? i don't know. now i'm working with the graphics, which takes a lot of time... grrr

anyway, the idea is great (and old, considering i wanted to implement it in my old rocky game 6 or 8 months ago...

    oh, finally ^^
you are the first person that prefer the second version... but too late, i'm making the graphics that fit the scrolling version now...

i ripped the graphics mainly form the snes game kikikaikai, kikikaikai 2 (pocky & rocky)
