    portfolio check

I have recently decided to get more serious about maybe starting a portfolio site to do web based work. I have started this with some flash stuff and swift 3d and I would like some critisism. I tried to make it kinda artsy (which I admit I am new too): start

hi rynoe , i checked it, and i think all animations are good, but maybe you have to work on your interfave, which looks a little bit "grany", i mean with more "quality" in the graphics and transitions....it seems like an "old" html page (with gif)...i hope you know what i mean..::but your action script works good.

    advise

You have a good basic understanding.
    What now?
    1) Work on the interface-reference current design trends and other "quality" flash sites, check out flashkit's tutorial and fla section, refine.
    2) Make the site Gel, maybe choosing a color theme and template scheme, Use a vector based app to create a front face look and then export to flash.
    3) get rid of all pop-ups
    4) lose the borders
    5) Purchase a few books on flash design techniques.
    6) Work on content

    Good start.
