3DFA crashes on all computers - HELP!

I have been working with 3DFA version 3.3 some time on my Windows 2000 home computer. It was the only computer on which I could use the program: on all others (at work) that I tried it, it crashed as soon as I entered some 3D text.

I have recently re-installed Windows 2000 (and 3DFA) on my home computer, and now 3DFA crashes on this one as well. I also installed the latest version 4 beta, but it does not make any difference: if I add a 3D Text element, 3DFA crashes from the moment that I type the first character of the text.

I have this same problem with 3DFA on all computers that I tried it on, no matter what computer model or OS-version that was used (Win98, Win2000, WinME): I simply cannot get it to work with 3D text. Does anyone have similar experiences, or know what could be causing these crashes?

Run Task Manager on win2k and switch to observe Performance

What do you see for Memory Usage History

I find that with 3dfa I get a progressive incremental usage of memory as I run within the development system (not when the .swf runs standalone) which eventually crashes 3dfa with a memory exception error.

Then I get the allocated memory freed up when I close the 3dfa designer.

How much free ram is shown available when you run?

No, memory is not the problem: +/- 200MB in use before starting 3DFA, +/- 220MB while running (and crashing) 3DFA. I have 640MB RAM in my computer.

3DFA always says it creates an error log when it crashes, but I cannot find it. Where do I have to look for it?

    same

i have win98 and for some reason, each time i try to export, the program crashes. But i'm pretty sure it has something to do with my memory. I don't know if I want to admit it...... I only have 56mb or RAM.
I know I need more, I'm getting some more RAM today because they have a good deal on it at Best Buy!
If it could be anything else, please respond.
