    Images and Sounds

Does anyone know a website where I could download images and sound effects. Since my computer is a Compaq, the stuff that came with it isn't anything to write home about. Even though I am home. I need some pictures for games and animations I'm developing.

I found this site useful for sounds, but most of it will cost you:

    http://www.sounddogs.com/

    Hope this helps,

There are sound fx and music loops on Flashkit, too - on the top of the forum pages, you can get to the fx by clicking Sound FX, and the loops are under Sound Loops. You can search for what you're looking for by browsing through the categories or by entering a phrase into a textbox and clicking its search button.

    Added apology:

I had to edit this reply due to a spelling error, which I caught the minute I returned to the thread from posting. (Don't you hate that?) I mean, I meant can, when I originally said "gan" (the original mistake in the 'get to the fx' sentence)! Holy twisted

    images and sounds

For images, try Google image search. For sounds, do a search for "wavs" and convert them with an mp3 converter that you can find and download for free through a search. Also, I find the free software at www.goldwave.com helpful.

But the pictures at Google search are often copywrited, so you can't use them without the creators permission...
