I have this little game i'm working on, right now, it's only a character walking. But i can't get it to work either. I must be really bad at this... But actually, i think it's a bug. When exported, it really doesn't work. (in editor it works though). An if the "show from beginning" button isn't enabled, not even the first child movie shows in browser. Sigh...
What is the 100sec delay for in the main? and the movie layers vandersfot and hogerfot? and layer135 ?
Theoretically you only need the definition of the movies in the startup script and the on-key() event handlers for left and right arrow, as far as I can determine.
Hmm, actually, i've had this problem before. It seems to be a bug. When you control elements in arrays through functions, it always gets sick when exported...

Hahah
I used to avoid games in the office, spending all my time working on serious stuff like accounting, inventory etc in VB, SQL
Boooring
Or, well, actually i'm trying to learn VB myself... But imjust keep coming back to 3DFA. It's very addictive.
I love your tiles game. Is it v4-made?
Should also be wuite easy to make a map editor to it. If you send me the source, i'll try...
See elsewhere here in 3dfa for Doom and other game references by me
While I have ten years asp vb sql and a 100 other languages, I am also a newbie to 3dfa. I had v3.4 without actionscripting, went to Swish2.0 and made games using the javascript in the browser. Now I too am back to 3dfa and love it.
Only recently got into 3DCanvas and a night ago played with 3dfa 3d-shape-editor cool! We live in interesting times, the big boys will continue to spend thousands on 3D professional tools, but with 3dfa and array data storage I can see unlimited potential for graphical programming. I would not have designed your app the way you did but would have stored the position and direction of the feet/head/eyes and moved them as needed from arrays - just me I suppose.
The big question is where is your game going?
If you look at my Doom/hand animation/annabella/chess posts here, I am probably going to create a skybox world with characters on a chessboard grid as my next affort. To do what - I don't know yet but it will incorporate what I learned in the last 12 weeks in 3dfa V4.4 or better.
